Project Details

The project is located in a space of 70 square meters with the use of a restaurant on Qasrdasht Street in Shiraz, which is known as a pleasant neighborhood due to its gardens. This environmental feature has provided space for walking, social interaction and spending leisure time in this neighborhood.

Due to the location of the project in this active urban wall and the presence of an open space of 110 square meters in front of it, our effort was on how to create a connection between inside and outside and invite passers-by to this space.

With this approach, it started by reducing what it is, removing separating elements as much as possible and creating maximum openness. The edge of the project was extended to the sidewalk and a synergy was created in the project space.

The floor was activated as a connecting element and stretched from the outside to the inside. A material was considered for it that is responsive to both the outside and inside, as well as the environment of the restaurant, and it was emphasized by highlighting the color.

Different functions were formed by subtracting from the floor and adding on it. In some places, it became taller by creating a bend and played the role of restaurant seats, and in some places it became a counter. It was formed by creating holes in the floor outside and inside the green space, also by using the light element, common furniture and plants, it was emphasized to make the outside and inside more homogeneous
